Position Summary:

Teaching, research and service responsibilities to the Department, School and University in the area Cardiology. The candidate would be expected to teach at the professional and graduate student levels and be involved with continuing education programs for veterinary practitioners in Wisconsin.

Principal Duties:

In an assistant clinical professor appointment, the appointee's role would likely include 20-26 weeks of clinics, approximately 4-6 hours of lectures and 6-10 hours of lab-based teaching per academic year. The position will be 40% clinical service, 25% non-clinical teaching, and 25% research, and 10% service.

Degree and Area of Specialization:

Board certification in American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine-Cardiology or European College of Veterinary Internal Medicine-SA Cardiology.

Minimum Years and Type of Relevant Work Experience:

Academic experience beyond residency training preferred.

License or Certificate:

Must be eligible to obtain licensure to practice veterinary medicine in the State of Wisconsin.

Extensive opportunities for collaborative research and teaching exist within the School of Veterinary Medicine and the UW-Madison campus.
