This is a position for a regional anesthesiologist or general
anesthesiologist primarily to provide clinical anesthesia care with
occasional teaching opportunities to residents and medical
students. If appointed on the CHS track, duties will also include
education and research components.

Duties for appointment to the Clinician Teacher (CT) track:
Provision of clinical anesthetic care to surgical patients (i.e.
working in the operating room, plus evening and weekend call ) in
an anesthesia team model. Provision of clinical anesthetic care
will be primarily, but not exclusively, for regional anesthesia or
general anesthesia surgical patients Teaching of residents and
medical students in the operating room, and occasional didactic

responsibilities for residents and medical students in the
operating room, and didactic sessions. Primary emphasis of teaching
will be in the regional or general anesthesia patient care area.
Provision of clinical anesthetic care will be primarily, but not
exclusively, for regional anesthesia or general anesthesia surgical
patients (i.e. working in the operating room, plus evening and
weekend call) in an anesthesia team model or personally performed
anesthesia. Opportunity for participation or to lead clinical
research for interested and qualified candidates.
The successful applicant will participate in administrative and
committee work to support the clinical and scholarly missions of UW
Health and the School of Medicine and Public Health. An essential
part of these duties will be working in a collegial relationship
with other faculty members.

Minimum Years and Type of Relevant Work Experience:
Completion of Anesthesiology residency program and certified or
eligible for certification by the American Board of Anesthesiology.
Prefer fellowship training in Regional Anesthesiology.
License or Certificate:
