The responsibility of the post-doc position will include but not limited to the following areas: teaching courses inside of the area of physics and courses outside of physics area such as FCSC 101, which is an important component of the NYIT Discovery core. The position will also be assisting the implementation of Wolfram Language on all campuses, in all disciplines. Specifically, the position will be assigned duties in developing a number of modules based on the Wolfram Language or Mathematica. These modules will be adapted by various courses inside and outside of physics area.


  • Work with colleagues to develop a number of Wolfram Language (Mathematica) modules for courses in and outside of physics area, including humanities.
  • Teach a number of courses in and outside of physics area
  • Integrating WL Mathematica with smart phones for all hands on activities of physics courses
  • Assist the development of a new physics major based on WL Mathematica as a tool of teaching/learning
  • Provide training of WL Mathematica for NYIT faculty/staff who are committed to learn and use Wolfram Language (Mathematica) in their teaching and research or creative expression.


  • An earned Ph.D. in physics and knowledge with WL Mathematica
  • Teaching of college level course level courses with Mathematica
  • Some experience incurriculum development
  • Integrating WL with activities outside of STEM
