Summary
An opportunity is available for a highly motivated postdoctoral researcher to explore fundamental questions in mammalian developmental epigenetics. Our lab focuses on genome-wide analysis of DNA methylation, with specific interests in causes and consequences of human interindividual epigenetic variation, and epigenetic mechanisms of body weight regulation. The position is based in the Texas Medical Center, the world's largest medical center and a vibrant and collaborative research environment.
Job Responsibilties
- Work independently.
- Plan, direct and conduct specialized and advanced research experiments.
- Evaluate and analyzes data.
- May establish new research protocols and procedures.
- Summarize research findings and publish results in research journals.
- May be responsible for laboratory operations.
- May supervise research staff, take a leadership role under the guidance and supervision of the PI.
Minimum Qualifications
- Ph.D
- Experience with epigenomics, genetics, cell biology, neuroscience, developmental biology, computer science, and nutrition
- Strong publications in a relevant discipline
