Drew University’s Department of Theatre and Dance seeks a full-time tenure track Assistant/Associate Professor of Theatre. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinating our production program
  • Directing one show a year, mentoring student directors
  • Collaborating with faculty members on production oversight for the season
  • Teaching both intermediate and advanced directing course,s as well as courses in Playscript Interpretation, Dramatic Literature, and/or Dramaturgy depending on expertise. 


Requirements

Professional experience as well as a terminal degree required. Preference will be given to scholar-practitioners; i.e. Ph.D. candidates with extensive directing and experience and/or M.F.A.’s with strong academic scholarship. 

The ideal candidate will have a wide range of experience with canonical works, non-western forms, and new play development.
