To provide various tasks to support the Medical Assistant Program laboratory technical staff, including blood specimen collection, specimen processing, lab testing and the maintenance of quality assurance records. The individual will work collaboratively with all students in accordance with the department.

Registered or Certified Medical Assistant

Ability to to organize and prioritize work for
Effective communication skills, both verbally and in writing
Abel to easily understand complex instructions
Computer skills

Licensing/Certification Requirements

Registered or Certified Medical Assistant

Job Duties

Prepare samples for testing using various types of laboratory equipment
Perform Laboratory testing
Prepare and maintain accurate laboratory records
Perform quality control as directed by the Program Director
Clean and maintain work area and all lab equipment and supplies

Physical Requirements

Ability to stand for 3 to 4 hours per skills class
