Assistant Professor Tenure Track American Literature post 1945

Assistant Professor (tenure track), University of Louisville, Fall 2020

The Department of English at the University of Louisville invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position in U.S. Literature since 1945, to begin in Fall 2020.

The successful candidate will hold a Ph.D. at time of appointment, and this will be in Modern American Literature or a closely related field. The successful candidate should also have at least one year's experience teaching American Literature since 1945 and evidence of publication in American Literature since 1945.

Teaching load will be appropriate to a research institution and will include courses in American Literature since 1945. The successful applicant will be expected to perform research and creative activity and to serve on university committees as required.
