The Department of Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgery of the WVU School of Medicine and the WVU Heart and Vascular Institute is actively recruiting a board certified/eligible General Thoracic Surgeon qualified for appointment at either the Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor rank as a chief of thoracic surgery for Camden Clark Medical Center in Parkersburg, WV. The candidate will be joining a group of internationally renowned academic thoracic surgeons who are part of the WVU Heart and Vascular Institute and Mary Babb Randolph Cancer Center. The advance training or competency in minimally invasive lung and esophageal surgery is required. In addition to providing excellent patient care, the successful candidate will be actively involved in the teaching of medical students, residents, and cardiothoracic surgery fellows.

While this position will be primarily based in Parkersburg, but the participation in the research, clinical and academic activities at the flagship hospital is encouraged.

Successful candidates must have an MD or DO degree (the employer accepts foreign educational equivalent) and be eligible to obtain an unrestricted West Virginia medical license. Candidates must be board-certified or board eligible in thoracic surgery.
