General Description of Position
The Adjunct Instructor is responsible for developing and implementing various courses (as needed) in a classroom and laboratory setting as well as college classes for high school students via technology and on-site lab. Teaching assignments for this position may include, but are not limited to: Ag Technology, Precision Technology, Advanced Precision Technology; and for high school students: Ag Business, Intro to Ag & Horticulture, Livestock Evaluation and Crop & Food Science. Additional responsibilities include student advising and participation on college teams and other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
1. Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture (Agronomy, etc.),Geographic Information Science ( GIS ), Computer Science, or a directly related field of study.
2. Two (2) years of recent verifiable work experience in agriculture.
Desired Qualifications
1. Additional education (beyond the required Bachelor’s degree) or training in Agriculture, Education, Business, Computer Science or GIS
Teaching and/or technical instruction experience.
2. H.S. Teaching Certificate (NE preferred)
3. Experience with precision agriculture data analysis.
