General Description of Position
Under the direction of the Dean and Associate Dean, the Adjunct Instructor, General Motors Automotive Service Educational Program (GM ASEP ), is responsible for instructing students in various ASEP courses (as needed), developing, and updating of the program courses in a classroom/laboratory environment. This position is also responsible for the maintenance of the lab equipment and ASEP vehicles, advising students and working with program, IAGMASEP, and College committees.
Minimum Qualifications
1. Associate degree in an Automotive Technology field.
2. Two (2) years of experience in the automotive field related to the area of Automotive Technology.
3. Current ASE Certification in areas of instruction plus G1, or must obtain within six (6) months of hire.
Desired Qualifications
1. Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in an area related to the assigned instruction.
2. Post-secondary teaching experience.
3. Associate degree in General Motors Automotive Service Educational Program (GM ASEP ).
4. Current ASE Master Certified.
5. Current GM Master Certified.
6. Current GM World Class Technician.
