The Department of English at the University of Houston is hiring temporary, part-time lecturers. Instructional content areas of particular need are: Freshman Composition I and Freshman Composition II. Successful applicants may also be asked to instruct undergraduate courses in other areas such as literature. These courses are taught in multiple formats such as face-to-face instruction, hybrid, and online. These positions are non-tenure track positions and are not benefits eligible.
To apply, candidates must provide a letter of interest, a current curriculum vitae, unofficial transcripts and three recommendations. Applicants are also welcome to provide a teaching philosophy/statement and a writing sample.

Qualifications :
Master or doctorate in English, or related field, with at least a year of teaching at the college level.
