The College of Engineering at the University of Houston invites applications for Lecturer positions to join the Undergraduate Student Success Program (USSP) faculty team, whose main role is teaching first and second year engineering students at the UH main Campus and our new campus in Katy, Texas. This faculty team works closely with the college's academic advisors, with faculty in many departments; filling a crucial role in equipping first-year students for success. The main organizations within Undergraduate Student Success are The Program for Mastery of Engineering Studies (PROMES) and the Honors Engineering Program (HEP). These programs seek to provide a positive and supportive environment where students are enabled to succeed academically while gaining an understanding of the engineering profession and its disciplines.

Qualifications :

The ideal applicant will be able to demonstrate the ability to function in a collaborative atmosphere with multiple stakeholders. Candidates must possess a solid commitment to engineering education and excellent communication skills. Applicants must possess a PhD or equivalent in an engineering discipline including engineering education, a related education field, or a related STEM field.

PREFERED QUALIFICATIONS Exceptional candidates will have experience working with first-year engineering programs and/or have a record of scholarly activities in the area of engineering education.
