Physician – Emergency Department (Davis Medical Center)

WVU Medicine seeks a board certified/board eligible Emergency Medicine Physician to join the faculty practice in Elkins, WV at the rank of Instructor, with the option to be an Independent Contractor. Practice community emergency medicine, with the right people, for the right reasons. Competitive private practice compensation anchored to an academic department.

Successful candidates must have an MD, MD/PhD or DO degree (the employer accepts foreign educational equivalent) and be eligible to obtain an unrestricted West Virginia medical license. Candidates must have completed an accredited Emergency Medicine residency program by the time of appointment. The emergency department at Davis Memorial sees approximately 29,000 visits per year with a combination of double coverage ED physician as well as advanced practice provider coverage. Planning is currently underway for a new emergency department.

Davis Memorial Hospital provides a continuum of care that includes acute care, emergency department services, advanced imaging capabilities, extensive laboratory services, therapy and rehabilitation, pain management, cancer center, a birthing center, orthopaedic and general surgical services as well as family practice.
