We are searching for an experienced Program Assistant CE

Job Purpose:
Support Continuing Education programs offered throughout the district. Ensure required class materials are prepared and classroom is ready by the start of the class. Build, maintain, and/or cancel Continuing Education (CE) Distance learning (DL) course sections in Banner.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop forms and assemble course packets, including class roll and course evaluations. Ensure availability of requested classroom materials.
  • Input daily changes of classes via Banner and send to Human Resources for verification and to ARO for web input. Notify students as needed of changes and cancellations.
  • Oversee the security of healthcare supplies and other secure areas. Unlock and lock hospital lab, scrub room, supply room, storage cabinets, radiology lab, art supply and photo supply rooms and other secure areas.
  • Assist students with locating classrooms, registration, bookstore and other rooms at Courtyard Campus.
  • Keep the Continuing Education distance learning web pages, instructor manuals, and course syllabi updated.
  • Input the CWED budget for all cost centers, check fund availability and input budget adjustments, when required. Process CWED requisitions and purchase orders. Process invoices and check requests for payment; process various forms as requested, ensuring all necessary signatures are obtained.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Perform all duties to maintain all standards in accordance with college policies, procedures and Core values.


Required Qualifications:

High School Diploma and one (1) year of related experience. Associate degree from a regionally accredited institution and two (2) years of related experience preferred.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of computer programs Word, Excel, and Argos
  • Knowledge of clerical functions
  • Knowledge of available classes
  • Computer skills
  • Interpersonal skills
  • Organizational skills
  • Ability to operate various office machines and phone systems
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing


Physical Demands and Working Conditions:
Sedentary Work - Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally, a negligible amount of force frequently, and/or constantly having to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally and all other sedentary criteria are met. Positions in this class typically require talking, hearing, seeing, grasping, standing, walking and repetitive motions. Relatively free from unpleasant environmental conditions or hazards. Office environment. Little physical effort required.

Compensation Range: $15.56 - 15.57
