Tenure-Track faculty position. The department offers
undergraduate and graduate programs in Electrical Engineering and
M.S. and Ph.D. in Computer and Information Systems Engineering
(CISE). Faculty will develop and teach undergraduate and graduate
courses and laboratories with integrated modern tools, application
software and experiential projects, attract and conduct funded
research, support and guide graduate and undergraduate student
thesis and, design projects, publish in journals and refereed
proceedings, provide leadership on technical and professional
committees, and pursue university and public service
activities.
The candidate must have an earned Ph.D. in either Electrical
Engineering, Computer Engineering or closely related engineering
area with interest and research expertise in some of the areas of
electrical power transmission and distribution systems; power
electronics; power semiconductors; electrical machines and motor
drives; security and resiliency of smart grids; integration of
renewable energy sources and micro-grids; and energy harvesting and
storage devices. Ph.D. candidate will be considered but must have
degree by the time of appointment.
