Posting Number: 0600808-NC Position Type: Faculty Pools Position Title: Sleep Technology, Part-time Division/Department: Sleep Technology Location Job Summary:
Teaches Polysomnography courses within the Polysomnography Program. May teach a range of subjects, including but not limited to Polysomnographic specific courses, Customer Service, Law & Ethics, and Exam Preparation. Required Qualifications:
Associate’s degree in a related area plus the equivalent of four years full-time work experience in polysomnography or a related field, or the equivalent of seven years full-time work experience in polysomnography or a related field; or an equivalent combination of relevant education and experience. RPSGT or BRPT certification required. Preferred Qualifications:
Teaching/training experience is preferred. Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:
Requires the ability to work with staff and students.

Work is performed in a classroom setting with minimal exposure to safety or health hazards. Essential Duties:
Promotes excellence in instruction.

Identifies and meets the learning needs of the students.

Develops course schedules and syllabi.

Plans, develops, and delivers lectures and activities. Writes tests and develops other methods to evaluate student progress and competence.

Plans, develops, and delivers laboratory instruction incorporating state-of-the-art industry practices.

Works effectively with students and staff of various cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds and ages and successfully interacts with supervisors, colleagues, and staff as part of an education team.

Communicates effectively in oral and written English.

Keeps accurate grade and attendance records in the Learning Management System ( LMS ).
