Assists with various registration duties in Enrollment Services.

Required Qualifications:

Education and Experience:
Requires a high school diploma or equivalent plus a minimum of two years full-time equivalent clerical or related experience.

Knowledge and Skills:
Requires basic knowledge of general office practices, procedures and equipment including record keeping, filing, typing and personal computers with word processing and database applications.

Abilities:
Requires the ability to perform the duties of the position efficiently and effectively with minimal supervision. Requires the ability to prepare routine or customized reports, correspondence or materials using word processing and database applications. Requires the ability to operate standard office machines and equipment including typewriters, copiers, calculators, word processors, printers, etc. Requires the ability to communicate with peers and other college staff or public in a manner which reflects positively on the department and the college.

Must be able to work respectfully with individuals of all cultures, backgrounds, perspectives, and abilities.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:

Work is generally performed in an office environment with frequent work interruptions or changes in work flow. Occasional lifting, guiding, or carrying of light-weight materials or equipment may be required. Position involves sitting for extended periods of time while working at a computer terminal. Learned physical skill is required to perform keyboarding functions.

Essential Duties:

Registers students at counter using on-line Banner registration system. Ensures appropriate College deadlines are met and demographic and intent data is updated. Assists students using Web and telephone registration process.

Processes schedule changes (adds/drops) and reassesses tuition and fees to update billing. Processes complete drops and assigns proper status to assure refund is generated where appropriate under approved College policies and procedures.

Assesses tuition and fees to create billing. Explains to students how charges are calculated.

Files materials in student records.

Answers routine questions and explains registration policies and procedures to students. Assesses student needs and scheduling problems and refers to appropriate college departments.

Performs data entry for College Now and Training and Business Development Center registrations.

Monitors student address-change phone line and inputs changes to Banner.

Stocks registration centers and Web kiosks with forms, schedules, and printer paper.

Performs other related duties as assigned.
