Computer Systems Faculty, Part-time
This pool has been established to accept applications for possible
openings for part-time instructors that may arise throughout the
A variety of classes are covered in the Computer Systems
Department, including computer applications using the Microsoft
Office Suite; HTML, programming languages such as Java and C++;
Systems Analysis and Design; Network Management; Web Development;
SQL & Oracle, and Cisco.
Master’s Degree in the subject areas to be taught and/or 27
graduate quarter hours in the primary subject area, or 24 quarter
hours in the secondary subject area with an emphasis in computer
science, programming languages, and/or computer software
applications is required to teach transfer classes. Associates
Degree plus a minimum of four years successful experience within
appropriate occupational area may substitute for Master’s degree
for Career Technical Education ( CTE ) courses.
Must be able to work respectfully with individuals of all cultures,
backgrounds, perspectives, and abilities.
Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer ( MCSE ) certification.
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:
Requires the ability to work with staff and students.
Work is performed in a classroom setting with minimal exposure to
safety or health hazards.
Teach any combination of the subject areas covered under Job
Summary. We are currently most in need of Computer Applications
instructors for the Microsoft Office Suite.
Take part in department meetings when available.
Participate in department discussions concerning curriculum,
especially as it relates to the classes they are teaching.
Maintain a student-centered environment, which includes class
management, curriculum development, appropriate assessment
strategies, and attention to different learning styles of a variety
Communicate with department chair and other department faculty
concerning classroom activities in a team-oriented approach.
