Essential Duties and Responsibilities Responsibilities will include individual and class instruction in composition at both the undergraduate and masters level and undergraduate classroom teaching within the theory/aural skills core. Other teaching responsibilities may include orchestration, electronic music, and special topics theory/composition courses. The successful candidate will participate in the responsibilities of faculty membership including curriculum development, student advisement, recruitment, and service activities.

Description of the Department or Unit The Hayes School of Music consists of 480 music students and 50 full-time faculty and offers undergraduate degrees in music education, music performance, music therapy, music theory/composition, sacred music, and music industry studies, and graduate degrees in music performance, composition, and music therapy.
