Bergen Community College was founded in 1965 and maintains locations in Paramus, Hackensack and Lyndhurst serving more than 32,000 students in degree, continuing education and adult education programs. As of November 2021, it is the largest community college in the state and has graduated more than half a million students with associate degrees and certificates since its inception. With more than 1,500 employees working at Bergen, the College remains a large Bergen County employer and the College was recently recognized by Diverse: Issues in Higher Education as one of the Top 20 Most Promising Places to Work in Community Colleges. Our faculty, instructors and staff are unified and passionate about creating successful outcomes for our diverse student population.
